Custom Operating System App

A custom operating system app is what you get when the packaged software you already run does almost everything: we patch it in place — and keep the patch alive through the vendor's next update.

What it does

We work on the application you already run rather than replacing it. The change is applied to the shipped bundle, verified with a parser rather than by eye, and backed by a re-application step that survives a vendor update instead of silently reverting.

The part that usually goes wrong

Patches that are applied by hash tend to die quietly on the next release. Ours key on structure, stand down when the vendor's code changes shape, and leave a dated backup of every file they touch so any change is one rename away from undone.

Locate

Find the exact artefact and the insertion point that will survive a rebuild.

02

Patch

Byte-preserving edit, then a parser check — never a hash or a eyeball.

03

Keep

A re-apply step that runs after updates, with dated backups and a one-step rollback.

Illustrative output. The parser check and the stand-down-on-shape-change are the real mechanism.

What this page does not claim: Illustrative terminal output. The re-apply step and the parser check are how the real work is done — the file names differ per project.
